St Patrick's & Hibernian Football Club Trophies.

Fr Ed Hone PP of St Patrick's and Cardinal O'Brien Present Pat Stanton with the two Famous Trophies in the History of Hibernian Football Club.

The Cardinal and Pat  discuss the importance of the Trophies in the Clubs History.

The Trophies  were won just a few years after the formation of Hibernian Football Club 133 years ago.Pat new that the Club had the two pieces of silverware.As one of the most important people in the formation of the Club Canon Edward Hannan,The Cups were at St Patrick's RC Church in the Cowgate,Edinburgh for safe Keeping.

On Saturday 15th November 2008 Cardinal O'Brien and PP of St Patrick's Fr Ed Hone presented the trophies back to the Club to go on display for the fans Young and Old to View and recount some of the Clubs early history and success.

After the Cardinal presented the Cups to the Club he was presented with a sighned football top of his namesake O'Brien 11, Alan O'Brien  came off the bench and was instramental in helping his team mates to secure a point with a two all draw with Aberdeen.

The sighned football shirt will be auctioned at a later date to help the restoration fund at St Patrick's.
