Laying of the Foundation Stone of St Aloysius Church.

St Aloysius Church Garnethill Glasgow Celebrates 100 years since the laying of the foundation stone in 1908.
The Church was opened in 1910.
To mark the centenary, the City of Glasgow held a Civic Reception for the priest's and parishoners of the parish on Friday 3rd October 2008 at the City Chambers,and then on Saturday 4th October,Archbishop Mario Joseph Conti the Archbishop of Glasgow was the Principal Celebrant along with the PP Fr James Campbell SJ,the Provincial Fr Michael Holman SJ and Priests past and present who have served in the parish.
